Hello, Immigrant! Nice to meet you—I’m your Consultant, Daphne Felippe-Carvalho and I’d like to share a bit of my story.
In 2017, I arrived in the United States as an Au Pair, full of dreams but also facing many challenges. Alone and in a new country, I had to cope with homesickness and uncertainty while adapting to a completely different culture. Amid difficulties and unforgettable moments, I realized I wanted more: I wanted to build my future here.
My host family was fundamental to that dream. With their support, I began to understand the possibilities for staying in the country legally and went after every detail. Without giving up, I studied on my own, learned the complexities of immigration law, and, with a lot of determination, obtained my Green Card.
However, that achievement was not the end—it was just the beginning. Throughout the process, I realized that many other people also needed support and guidance. In 2020, I decided it was time to use my experience to help other Brazilian immigrants.
I specialized as a Paralegal at the Borough of Manhattan Community College and worked at an immigration law firm in New York, closely following a variety of cases and strengthening my knowledge.
Today, as the head of DFC Immigration, my goal is to simplify and humanize the path to regularization for immigrants. My experience and commitment are dedicated to giving you security and support at every stage, knowing that the person on the other side truly understands what you are going through.
